The story of Mon Apollon

While traveling to Florence for a romantic getaway, we discovered the city's most famous monument, Michelangelo's David. We then tried to bring back with us a little piece of this Florentine art that had enchanted us so much. We found what we were looking for in a small store: a stunning bronze color reproduction of David. Back in Paris, we realized that it is difficult to acquire artistic representations of male nudes.

It must be said that the genre is nowadays much less valued than its female counterpart, whereas it has for a long time enjoyed primacy in academic circles.

Mon Apollon was born from the desire to put the male body in art back on stage.

Today, we are particularly committed to highlighting artists from the LGBTQ+ community, through thematic collections.
